Artist Statement

The digital world and reality. Two very different worlds with very different means of exploring them. As a video game artist, I explore ways to seamlessly intertwine them through various 3D models and environments.

My work often focuses on the multi-color maximalist vibe inspired by Vaporwave and Psychedelic art aesthetics. I’m drawn to the way the patterns and nostalgic mood create the same quiet pull I feel when entering a digital world. It becomes an inviting, immersive sensation that I really connect with.

My current project, “Into the Dragon’s Lair”, focuses on the literal interpretation of connecting the real world to the digital. Through projections of an interactive environment where the user has control of an anonymous viewer with the help of a remote controller or VR headset, the user steps inside of a moment frozen in time; a digital diorama inside of a dragon’s lair.

I stepped outside my usual trippy style to explore the beauty of becoming fully immersed in a digital space, and how that shared sense of immersion can create unexpected connections between people through what they experience together.

I create digital worlds that challenge the limits of familiar interaction, inviting users to explore spaces that feel alive and worth returning to. By expanding the realities they know, I build environments that offer a sense of belonging within entirely new worlds in spaces that feel crafted for them, yet unlike anything they’ve ever experienced before.
